Dear Friends,

On behalf of Elijah’s Promise and the thousands of individuals we serve, we would like to thank you for your generous donation of $500. We are so grateful for your support!

Elijah’s Promise was founded in 1989 as a small soup kitchen based in New Brunswick, NJ and has since become a multi-service agency that moves people out of poverty. The organization offers a continuum of services leading to self-sufficiency.

What we did in 2008 at Elijah’s Promise…

  • Served over 100,000 meals at the Soup Kitchen.
  • Delivered packages to 165 individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Trained 70 people in the Culinary School and placed 58 people in jobs.
  • Employed 23 people through catering employments.
  • Provided over 112,500 meals to low income people through Promise Catering Contract Catering Service.
  • Distributed clothing through the Clothesline to over 1,000 people.

The Internal Revenue Service requires that we inform you that we have not provided you with any goods or services in exchange for your donation. The full amount of your donation is tax deductible. Please retain this receipt in your tax records.

Thank you again for your generosity and donation, especially during these difficult economic times. We will work hard to ensure your gift makes a difference to the community. We appreciate your support and look forward to working with you in the future as together we empower lives and alleviate hunger in our community.

Sincerely,
Rev. Lisanne. G. F.
