Pedestrian struck by NJ Transit bus, trapped underneath

A New Jersey transit bus critically injured a pedestrian when it struck the individual at the intersection of Irvine Turner boulevard and 18th Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the individual trapped beneath the bus in critical condition. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Six Vehicle Accident Forces Closure of New Jersey Turnpike

Authorities report that a six-vehicle accident involving  four tractor trailers, an SUV, and a pickup-truck forced the closure of the New Jersey Turnpike at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.  According to sources at the scene, the accident may have been caused by slippery road conditions and heavy traffic. The chain-reaction accident sent two of the occupants of the SUV to the hospital for treatment.
