19 cars involved in fatal Florida crashes
Posted on Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 at 9:07 pm
A total of 11 people lost their lives in Florida on Sunday morning after poor visibility gave way to several car accidents.
The car accidents took place on both the southbound and northbound lanes of Interstate 75. They occurred around 3:45 a.m. when serious smoke and fog clouded the lanes of the highway. Drivers could not see at all in some areas and began colliding into one another. Two large semi-trailers completely stopped in their lanes, causing additional accidents to take place behind them.
Emergency personnel on the scene were unable to locate hurt individuals due to the visibility conditions. People were located by their voices and screams. Cars were wedged under trailers, and piled on top of one another. A few cars were even engulfed in flames when the rescue crews responded to the scene. In addition to the 11 deaths, 18 people were injured.

NJ traffic deaths increased in 2011
Posted on Thursday, January 19th, 2012 at 11:29 pm
For the first time in five years, deaths on New Jersey roadways increased.
In 2011, 82 more people died in vehicle-related accidents than in 2010. A total of 638 people lost their lives in 596 crashes last year. State police are expected to release why they think the number of fatalities increased in the coming weeks.
Half of the deaths are believed to be contributed to recklessness, especially speeding in residential areas. Township police have decided to enforce a “zero tolerance” policy for speeders in neighborhoods, which puts pedestrians as well as other motorists at risk.
The number pedestrian and bicyclist deaths have also increased. Police urge people on the street to be alert, wear reflective gear, do not walk around intoxicated, and to lower their music when listening to their personal music players.

Gregory's testimony for Ron Grayzel
Posted on Thursday, March 25th, 2010 at 10:23 am
Dear Ron,
I have been meaning to write you for a month or so, and decided to do it before ’97 ends.
’97 brought some closure to us in terms of the case being settled out of court. For this we are grateful. But when we think “grateful,” we think of you. I know Maureen wants to personally write you as well at some point, so let me just speak for myself.
This tragedy was incomprehensibly difficult for us. I know you appreciated that. While everything was handled with consummate professional skill, I never felt I was just talking to a lawyer. I always felt I was talking to a father. For this I will always be most grateful. For this I will always hold you in great esteem.
It has not escaped my notice, either, that you could have charged us more than you did. Again, my sincere thanks.
Maureen and the kids are doing well, though for us as parents I think there will forever be a certain “complexity” to the great lessons of life and faith. Perhaps this is inevitable – most every important or joyful moment brings Johnny back to mind.
God forbid I should ever need to direct anyone toward you for reasons such as ours. However, if the occasion were ever to sadly arise, you would be the first person on my mind. I hope that conveys some of my esteem and respect.
Our prayer is that God would bless and protect you & your family and increase your awareness of His love in your life. I hope life is working out great!
All the best,
Gregory
P.S. Please convey our similar sentiments to Kathleen; she was great.

Levinson & Axelrod secure $350,000 for woman who fell on ice
Posted on Friday, March 19th, 2010 at 10:26 am
The New Jersey personal injury lawyers of Levinson & Axelrod recently helped secure a $350,000 settlement for a woman who slipped and fell on ice in a A&P supermarket parking lot. If you or a loved one has been injured in a slip and fall accident, we may be able to help you.
After the fall, the woman suffered a serious ankle fracture and was required to have surgery and attend physical therapy. Representatives of the supermarket claimed that they were not responsible for clearing ice from the parking lost and that instead it was the obligation of the snowplow contractor to look for ice. However, after the testimony of the contractor and research into his hiring documents, the testimony of the supermarket representative was proven incorrect.
